So it's been a long time since anything has been written here. Partly due to lack of reposnibility for all the members of the band (always someone else's job, etc...), partly due to other things needing more attention.
To start things back off we'll get moving by letting you know about our next gig on FRIDAY MARCH 12. It's supporting The Brunswicks at their album launch, and also playing are Jackalpac.
The venue, for those of you who don't know yet, is Club 299. We haven't played here yet, so it's one more to tick off the list.
I believe the last one to tick off in Brisbane would be the trusty Troubadour: the eternal safe-haven for musicians in Bris.
Now, tickets are $10 (I KNOW), but if you shout WIPEDOUBT in an orderly fashion at the door they will let you in for $8! DEAL! Good money's worth I say - I can vouch for Jackalpac being pretty damn fine at least having played with them before so there ya go.
If you ask me it's better value $8 than sitting at home following instructions on how to mod a torch.
In other news, we have a little surprise to premier to everyone at the 299 gig, which we're pretty sure you'll all love. The This Old House EP Launch at Step Inn in Jan was fckin awesome, and we have enough smackers to fund a real CD in a few months as a result! If you want a copy of "This Old House", then you'll have to come to a gig... for the time being. I'm sure some big company will just drift along and pick us up in a few weeks, you know how it goes...
But if you can't wait to hear the stuff, then there's higher quality .mp3's on our Reverbnation page of the whole This Old House EP. The myspace ones are only 128kbit/sec and sound like it's being forced through a cheap plastic pipe. So, from memory I uploaded the Reverbnation ones as 320kbit? Some may not care for such small differences, but it does make a difference in sound quality!
That's all for now, I hope too many didn't suffocate waiting for the next post meanwhile!
Hope all is well in everyone's little fantasy worlds,
JoelWD
